Hoop Embroidery Foundations
A calm introduction to hand embroidery for absolute beginners and anyone restarting after a long break.
This session covers hoop set-up, threading, secure starts and finishes, and three foundational stitches you will reuse for years.
You leave with a small sampler, notes on tension, and clear next-step suggestions — including whether sashiko, crewel or slow stitching suits you next.
Classes are small. Tutors demonstrate stitch by stitch rather than rushing a project checklist. Machine sewing is not part of this course.
What is included
Needles, hoop hire for the session, cotton ground and stranded cotton for the class sampler.
